2012 Trips

We are offering two Alternative Spring Break trips to CMC students for the 2012 Spring Break, March 10-17, 2012.

Appalachia Service Project, Johnson City, Tenn.

Participants on this trip will work with the Appalachia Service Project on home repair and improvement for low-income families in Central Appalachia. This organization has been serving the needs of the Appalachia region for more than 40 years, and will provide lodging, meals, construction materials and training for volunteers. The student contribution for this trip is $100, plus personal spending money.

Villa Mastatal, Costa Rica

The Costa Rican team will be based in Mastatal, a remote village outside Puriscal. Villa Mastatal, a sustainable farm, will be our home base as we work in the surrounding community. Our focus will be on environmental preservation, sustainable development, and cultural exchange. The student contribution for this trip is $200, plus personal spending money.
